Originally from Seattle, acoustic chanteuse, Kym Campbell now calls Australia home after moving to the land down under in 2001. Signed to an independent record label in Melbourne to record and release her new EP, both nationally and internationally in 2010, Kym Campbell’s influences span an array of genres and her music reflects a lifestyle of travel, sun, ocean, surf and song.

With a vocal style so distinctive and incomparable to any other artist, Campbell’s delivery appears effortless.In 2008 she was a finalist for the Top 10 Music Oz Awards for Best Singer / Songwriter and nominated as one of the ‘Judges Highly Commended Artists’ for three tracks off her debut EP, So Alive, which has also been chosen as the featured soundtrack for several surf DVD’s and surf events including Quicksilver Pro France in 2009.

As a cover artist, Kym, also holds a reputation as a true professional with years of experience playing at a variety of venues across Australia. Playing the guitar, harmonica and the ukulele, Campbell blends the best of other artist’s music with her own unique style to produce a recognisable, yet distinctive and spellbinding performance. With a list of over 100 cover songs under her belt, Kym has the ability to adapt to any venue’s atmosphere, ranging from upbeat funky pub songs to laid-back, mellow acoustic sets for restaurants and dining type settings. |
