While sitting at a Newcastle pub sometime in late 2004 over a few amber brewskies, an idea was formed. World domination was put on hold and the first elements of the band started to come together. From the first set list idea’s scrawled on the back of beer coasters while sitting at the bar, things have developed into one of Newcastle’s greatest rock assets. The band has entertained crowds around Newcastle as well as out west to Dubbo and all the way out at Cobar. Their popularity is evident with rebookings at every venue they perform. Blackout is now even more determined to bring their high energy show to as many people as they can.
With the 4 members all coming from varied musical backgrounds and tastes, the bands set list contains a little something for everybody. Drawing musical influences from every genre of music, and a set list that includes songs from KISS, Black Sabbath and AC/DC all the way through to the chart topping hits of today from the likes of Greenday, Foo Fighters, Good Charlotte, Grinspoon, Jet and many more. A Blackout show is truly something for everyone! The boys are focused on providing their fans with 110% “Live Rock n Roll” at its finest!
