Originating from the Central Coast, Jason Hicks and Bob Allen (END OF AUGUST) have been heavily involved in the music industry for the last 12 years as  singer/ songwriter/ guitarists. As the front man for original Sydney band “Field Day”, Jason has been able to perform to the masses locally and nationally in venues around Australia “spreading the love!”

Jason’s ability to write music that captured audiences in turn helped “Field Day” sell in excess 5,500 copies nation wide, and found him touring around Australia with the likes of The Whitlams, The Superjesus, George, Iota and Human Nature, with airplay on the J’s and majors.

More recently, Jason was chosen to open for Xavier Rudd during his recent tour through New South Wales, playing to over 6,000 people in five shows. Bob Allen was in fact born cradling a guitar and has been heavily involved in the originals and covers industry of NSW, as lead vocalist and guitarist for “Coastal Front” and “Caution” as well as widespread session work for established original and covers bands. As owner of Central Coast Guitar Tuition he has immersed himself in the industry writing, performing and playing to appreciative crowds.

Together  “End of August” produce a warm, earthy, groove based, acoustic sound with a major focus on vocal harmonies. Both voices blend together beautifully to recreate acoustic hits ranging from the 70’s too current. Covered artists include Eric Clapton, Tonic, Thirsty Merc, Crowded Housed, Seal, Live, Terrence Trent Darby, Jeff Buckley and Matchbox 20. This gives “End of AUGUST” a broad range of songs appealing to a wide demographic audience. 8 to 80 year olds would listen to this!  End of August now also have a 4 piece covers band called Kick.
