MOOPS
BIOGRAPHY
The
Moops is a duo comprising Justin Stewart as lead
guitarist and vocals and Chris Coleman as lead
vocals and guitar. This collaboration began after
a meeting of musically inclined minds while
studying at Newcastle University.
The Moops have been playing professionally for 15
months, and have received strong support and
positive feedback from venues and punters.
Justin
has been playing the guitar and studying music for
over twenty years and has been involved in the
music industry for 11 years in many different
capacities. Strongly influenced by rock and the
demanding rhythms of playing blues, Justin is an
accomplished player. His lead guitar is commanding
and adds polish and drive to a fat sound for a
duo. Chris has formal voice training that has
enhanced a clear and well controlled vocal style,
with Justin’s musician ship this gives an
interpretation of the material, which will not
disappoint fans of the original songs.
A
thorough and careful selection of the material to
be performed looks to cater to an audience across
generations with the emphasis on familiarity of
the songs and their capacity to get a foot tapping
and a body moving. We look to engage the audience
with ease banter and establish a rapport that
enhances their night out.
Great
songs, strong harmonies and pride performance
coupled with infectious enthusiasm, make for a
